Lever/Lever
A lever is a rod that pivots around the point. When you apply a force to the end of the lever it will tend to rotate the fulcrum to the direction of the force. This rotation multiplies the force applied which allows you to lift or move something that would require a greater amount of force if you tried to apply it directly to the load.
The distance between the fulcrum of the lever and the point at which you apply force determines the maximum amount of movement. This is known as the mechanical advantage. The advantage of mechanical force increases as the lever is extended. You can calculate the advantage of mechanical by dividing distance from fulcrum point to the point you are applying force by the distance between the fulcrum point and end of lever.
Levers can also have different effects based on the way in which forces are applied. A class 2 lever for instance, has a tendency of rotating in the opposite direction when an force of the effort is applied. If you push on the door handle the force will create the same rotational effects as this.
However, levers don't create energy. They simply increase the force you exert by changing a small amount of effort across a large distance into a larger amount of force that is applied over a smaller distance. This is what enables you to accomplish more in less time, and that is why levers are commonly employed to lift heavy objects or moving large quantities of cargo. This is also the reason behind the levers you find in a variety of everyday tools, such as crowbars and fishing rods, claws for hammers, and even your legs when you sit on the hand brakes of your car.
Lever/Pad
Lever pad handles are a kind of upvc door handle with levers on both sides that operate the multipoint lock. They are available in a variety of variations & finishes and can be used with a variety of materials including UPVC, Aluminium & Timber doors. They are sold in pairs for the inner and outer door with spindles & screws included. They are also available in handed and unhandled versions to suit different users.
They can be used to replace an existing upvc door. They are usually operated by lifting the levers to throw all of the multipoint locks before turning the key to close / unlock. They offer some extra security in comparison to lever handles for doors because the locking function can only be gained from the inside with keys in the event that the door is locked.
They're not as secure as a cylinder bolt, but are an affordable option to provide extra home security. The only disadvantage is that they do not offer the same level of protection as a cylinder lock, and therefore don't block access to the home when the door is left open.

Lever/Snib

A snib button is very useful, especially for homes where it's crucial to ensure privacy or security. You can use the snib button to block your guests from entering the home until they are ready. This kind of handle is also popular in doors that are inside like bedrooms, where you may need to restrict access from the outside.
In certain situations there are instances where snib buttons could cause problems, especially when you have older locks or doors that are distorted. If the snib button is used in error or by someone who isn't quite used to it, the door may slam shut and shut you out. It is possible to gain entry by knocking the door frame or letterbox. But, this is not ideal.

Lever/Moveable Pad
This popular style of handle is typically used for front doors. It offers the benefit of preventing the door being opened without a key from the outside when the lock hasn't been deadlocked. This is achieved with the 'pad-shaped' handle that locks into the gap between the handle and the lock case.
This kind of handle is designed for uPVC doors with multipoint locks which operate via a split spindle operation. This kind of operation requires the lever handle as well as the external pad handle to be fitted to the same lock case. It is a simple change from the current uPVC handles but it may also involve changing the lock case or a new set of handle furniture to allow for this added functionality.

The lever handle is one of the most popular kinds of door handles made from upvc and comes in a range of styles. It is made up of two handles that can be locked and moved by a thumbturn cylinder, or keys. A pad handle can be used as a substitute to lever or lever handles. It consists of either a fixed or moveable pad which can be used to operate a lock. These Fullex handles are sprung lever pads that have a snib that can be activated to secure the latch.
